Activation

Grep Badger can be activated with a license key. License keys are signed and verified by the application completely offline.

1. Open license activation

Inside Grep Badger, select Help > Enter License Key.

2. Enter your key

Paste your license key into the input.

If you opted to manually enter the key, make sure the key is entered exactly as provided.

3. Validate the key

Click Validate.

Grep Badger will tell you whether the license key was validated or not.

4. If validation succeeds

If the key is valid, your license is activated and you may close the key modal.

After a successful activation, Help > Enter License Key changes to Help > License Details.

5. View license details

Once your license is validated, you can use License Details to confirm that it has already been activated.

Important notes

  • Enter the license key exactly as provided.
  • After successful validation, the app shows License Details instead of Enter License Key.
  • If validation fails, double-check for missing or extra characters.
